I ordered flowers to be sent to my sister-in-law in Alabama to arrive on her 50th birthday, 29 Oct. The receipt ended up in my spam file. The flowers were "not not delivered due to the Strom affecting in USA". When asked why I was not informed of this non-delivery, the answer from your chat desk operative was "We really apologize for the inconvenience caused."
Rather than emailing my brother to ask if the flowers had been received, YOUR FIRM should have contacted me AND them and explained the delay and arranged with them to redeliver. It should not be the customer's responsibility to sort out the effects of 'acts of God'.
