I first used Sage over 20 years ago, and was forced back to it by my accountant in recent years. I am staggered that it has become so counter-intuitive. The usual GUI features of drag and drop and copy and paste mostly do not work. It manages to combine vast complexity with useless simplicity. For example the foreign currency calculator is ridiculous - it is only a silly database of exchange rates that you have to enter manually, so of course is never up to date. Easier to go straight to a currency exchange website such as xe.com. The report designer is utterly dire. It was claimed to be a total rewrite about 3 years ago, but there is no comprehensive data dictionary so it's trial and error to find the variables you need, if they are not in the very incomplete list. The help is a joke - badly organised and simplistic.
On top of all this, I have to put up with aggressive marketing and no support unless I pay steeply for it. I hate Sage with a passion that is unique in my 35 years with PC systems. Roll on retirement.
