“Steer Clear of a Silent Night Miracoil Mattress”

Steer clear of a Silentnight mattress. Bad product and bad after sales service.

Our Silentnight Miracoil mattress started to sag on the sides after 6 months and it gradually got worse and worse until there was no part of the mattress we could sleep on without being bruised by the sharp metal pieces that had worked their way to the surface. There were also dents on every part we lay on whichever way we turned the mattress. The springs also made ‘boing boing’ noises which could be heard all through the night. In the end it was un-usable. Unfortunately due to a sad personal situation we did not report this to Silentnight for some months.

Contacted Customer Services who asked us to fill in a form and they offered us a new mattress but we would have to pay £98 towards it. When asked if they would make a monetary settlement we were advised that because we had had the mattress for 35 months we could only get redress from the supplier Argos – Why should Argos be responsible for a shoddy product?
