“No claims & a 25% rise in annual premium??”

Took out the Pets at Home premium lifetime policy as it seemed the most reasonable we could get for our puppy at the time. 12 months later without a claim & no change in circumstance yet the annual renewal premium has been hiked up by a whopping 25% to £37.00 a month. This makes the lifetime cover a complete farce, if a young healthy animal with a clean health history gets a rise of 25% I can only imagine the ridiculous premium that would be requested years down the line...and what if any claims were made?!! I have cancelled my renewal & will be looking elsewhere for accident cover & shall be depositing the remainder of the fee we used to pay into a designated 'pet' savings account.
