I have booked via hotels.com a few times and have had a smooth booking as well as check in experience. I like the email that says along the lines of you do not need to check with the hotel, the booking has been confirmed. I have also come across 10% off codes for use. The only negative point is if one uses the 10% coupon, no welcome reward can be collected for that booking. I prefer having my 10% off than waiting to accumulate the 10 days to get 1 free. Overall I am happy with the experience.
