I, like others who have reviewed, took a chance on this site and worried that it might be too good to be true. Well, I am very happy to report that UnlockCode4U is fully legitimate, and give them all my thanks. Moreover, should you need to telephone them for any reason, you will receive someone on the line instantly. There is even a link to ring them via Skype, to avoid telephone charges for international callers.
Brief history: After literally a *month* trying to get an unlock code from 3 due to no reception in my area, I had no success whatsoever. 3 told me that I needed to phone the manufacturer (Samsung), who then told me that only 3 could unlock their own service from the phone (true), whereupon I returned to 3, who then asked for all sorts of documentation to be emailed *and* faxed to them. After one month as noted, 3 still found every excuse to withhold an unlock code for my Samsung Galaxy Ace.
I was therefore reduced to either visiting one of those phone kiosks in the shopping mall (not always reliable), or trying to unlock the phone myself. On the internet I did find many instructions to unlock my particular device (Galaxy Ace) but these were a bit too complicated, even though I had already rooted the phone myself.
I then came across UnlockCode4U, who promised an unlock code within minutes via email. The charge for my brand of device was only 12.95 GBP. After waiting for the email, I discovered that I had stupidly cited the wrong email address in my online order. So I telephoned UnlockCode4U straightaway via Skype (I am in UK). A helpful person picked up immediately and gave me the code, and then stayed with me on the line to be certain that the code unlocked the device. It surely did, and within precisely a few minutes (including the telephone call) my phone was unlocked and showing 4 bars with its new (Vodafone) SIM card.
In closing I give this company the highest rating of 5 and all my thanks, and only wish that I had found their website a month ago. Do not hesitate to use them, and be assured that this review has been written entirely by myself to express my gratitude and relief.
Lastly, to anyone who might be thinking of using '3' as a service provider in the UK, my advice would be DO NOT(!), as in my experience they are neither an honest or legitimate company.
From: a long-suffering former 3 customer.
