I bought a hybrid bike 45% off RRP and I am very happy with my purchase. However, those who have never assembled a bike themselves should be careful about ordering a bike online. The bike comes in a box with the seatpost, pedals, front wheel and handlebar separated, but without tools or information how to assemble it, so you'll have to watch a few youtube videos to figure out the puzzle. The other issue might be that the wheels come untrue (as happened in my case) so you'd have to take it to a repair shop to fix for a fee, which Bikes2u direct can happily reimburse as long as you provide a proof (e.g. a video) and a receipt. Gearing will most likely be upset and you'll have to adjust it, or let a repairman fix it for you, again, for a fee. Usually a full check up will cost you about £30, so if you are ready to spend this extra bit to feel safe, just give it to a repairman and let them do the job for you. Keep in mind that you would probably also need a good lock, lights and mudguards (£££).
