I recently purchased an electrical item from Comet. I was asked for various infomation and I asked that the information not to be passed to third parties. The shop assistant assured me that would be the case. This was not so, because after I had made the purchase the information on the till receipt at the bottom states that 'information may be passed onto third parties'. To get this removed you have to email the company which is not an easy site to navigate. I also telephoned the company and asked for it to be removed, this to me is an inconvenience and time I should not have to spend doing it !!
