Good price, but poor phone manner when I requested delivery to my work address rather than collect (which I couldn't manage at that point). Bought the bike shortly before a trip across Europe to Istanbul (which the bike is designed for). The bike arrived in good condition and was assembled without problems. Issues with the rear wheel after just over a week on the road. Cracks in rim developed after less than 1300 miles and whilst in the middle of Serbian countryside. Eventually a replacement second-hand wheel was found and the original had to be left. This would not seem to be an isolated issue as others have had problems with these wheels.
On my return I discussed the issue over the phone and sent a lengthy email with photos from the trip. No acknowledgement of receipt was sent and after a week I rang, only to be asked to send another copy of the email (which needed re-typing), as the 'General Manager' of Madison (distributors) wanted a copy. This was sent, with a request for confirmation of receipt. None was forthcoming again. After another phonecall I was told they were awaiting a decision and would get back to me. After another week I contacted Ridgeback via Facebook and was informed they without the actual wheel (still somewhere in a Serbian yard) no consideration would be given to my issues with the wheel. It might have been nice to have been told this from the start.
The price from ukbikesdepot was certainly the best around, but between the lost time on the road finding another wheel, it's cost and the need to get a properly built one on my return the savings are somewhat moot.
