8 years since I have had a credit card with them. Hundreds of transactions. All well until for the first time, I was unhappy with a digital download I had bought for about 20 quid, an audiobook advertised as 14 hours. It was 9 hours long. I complained to the seller, no response. I started a chargeback with the credit card issuer, sent them all the online receipts, instructions as to how to view the product, the sales page. HSBC 's response was incredibly unhelpful, they never complained to the seller, and they made it so hard that I just thought, sod it HSBC, I have better things to do.
8 years with them. Hundreds of transactions. My first chargeback ever, and it was like talking to walls. I will ditch them as soon as I will have the opportunity. Now I know how bad they are. Imagine if instead of 20 quid would have been 3000.
