“Place is scruffy, but owners and staff are brilliant!”

Used to showjump at BSJA grade C, but hadn't been on a horse for many years due to getting smashed up in a bad accident not of my making some years ago so I was nervous, I needn't have worried, I was given a very suitable animal to ride. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and owners, lovely people and friendly well trained ponies and horses to ride. I was instantly at home in the saddle and the trek I went out on was superb, everything I knew and loved about horses came flooding back. My equestrian career was restared here a few weeks ago and I am now back in training so a big thank you to the staff and owners at Penhalwyn for getting me back on a horse!

The only down side is the really scruffy nature of the equestrian centre which is off putting, it's loos are cleaned and work is obviously done but everything building wise was well past it's sell by date. There needs to be investment in the building side of things. I hate to mark the school down on their buildings after they have been so kind, it feels disloyal but image is important and a well kept smart yard will always attract business.
