And now I do not want to travel with any other airline. Thai Airlines have the most comfortable seats in economy class I ever came across. Add the wonderful service by the nicest, elegant cabin crew. I admired them, during some 10 hours of Sydney-Bangkok flight they never seemed to take a minute rest. Their smiles extended all the way to their eyes, they were 100% there for their customers. The food was very enjoyable – I would say the best airline food ever.
My reasons for not giving full 5 stars are:
1) No inflight entertainment to speak of, no individual screens, large screens too pale to see anything, several tiny screens under the ceiling, but not visible from most seats. It did not worry me personally too much, I appreciated the comfortable seats and the chance to sleep for most of the flight.
2) Only 20kg baggage limit for economy class. Difficult to fit in when you travel from Australia to Europe for a couple of months.
3) The fact that if you book a flight Sydney-Vienna with Thai Airlines, for the second leg of your journey you are stuck with the second worst airline I ever came across – Austrian Airlines. (Marginally second after Swiss International.)
