“Faulty materials poor customer service”

The refrigerator is an integrated model and although 10 years old has been maintained well- however the plastic lining of the fridge appears to have what I can only describe as a tear appearing just below the ice box. I have telephoned Neff and they will only send an engineer out if I pay £89. Most disappointed and expected a quality customer service from Neff. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? The internal fabric of a fridge just does not tear!
