“VERY DANGEROUS FOR LITTLE ONES”

written by on 24/08/2012

I took my son (3) to gullivers world- splash zone with my two friends and there little boys (both 3 too) on weds just gone, we were all so excited and looking forward to a couple of hours of fun, as we stepped into splash zone, my first thoughts were, how unsafe the place looked for are little ones, there were kids all ages running around mad and excited (as kids do) but some the kids were very big, compared to are little ones, it was over crouded and all the metal bars and climbing frames with steps and water shooting everywhere didnt look like it should mix with kids, (everywhere was so slippy) even tho the floor was padded it was very, very hard and again flooded with water and slippy. Anyway that was my first thoughts, We got dressed and kids were enjoying them selfs, even though they were getting knocked about by other older kids who were pushing past them and slipping up and down dangerous steps as water was pouring over their heads and they were trying to hold on to rails.
In the space of 30mins of being there, my little boy slipped and hit the floor so hard, that its knocked his two front teeth back and his mouth is cut to bits, top, bottom, sides, gums, My boy little boy was screaming his eyes out in pain and with blood pouring from his mouth, The first aider was called over, he took a look at him and said, he will be ok, its just a cut between his gums and hes shaking because hes in shock, i wasnt to conviced and asked should i take him to a& e to get it checked out anyway, his advice was, he,ll be fine. after 20 mins, my little boy was still crying out, i knew he wasnt right, i noticed once in the car and blood cleared a little bit that his teeth looked set back, i got an emergenceny dentist appointment and the dentist said yes his teeth have been knocked back and they had moved that far back, there, their to stay. I cant describe how bad my baby looked, when he woke the next day, he looked like he,d been punched in the mouth, he woke with all blood round his mouth, and his lip was that swollen at the top, he could barely talk. I was so worried, i rang the NHS help line and was told to go to walk in centre to get him checked. 2 days later, hes still on antibiotics and ibruofen and his face/mouth all swollen and bruized and his lips cut to bits. I would not reccommend this place to anyone unless they want their child to get hurt, its just a disaster wanting to happen!
