“Avoid AFerry”

Avoid AFerry!!

Had booked the ferry from Napoli to Palermo and a way back one month before the trip via Eferry the. Got the confirmation from AFerry by e-mail with relevant booking numbers. I live in Switzerland and drive to Napoli by car. When I appeared at the port of departure (Napoli) I was told by Tirrenia that my booking is not valid and I spent an hour of my time and uncountable amount of nerve fibers, trying to convince the staff of Tirrenia company that my booking was valid. I called to Aferry and they tried to resolved the issue but in the end suggested me to by a new ticket and get the refund.I was lucky that Tirrenia had available ticket with the same type of accommodation on that ferry. The price of the new ticket is 80EUR higher, and I hod no choice but to pay this new price 526 EUR. After my return from holiday , I claimed the price difference. AFerry admitted that the booking was really not effective due to the system error and suggested me to claim Tirrenia. Smart enoght. The issue is not in 80 EUR i had to pay, but a matter of reliability of Aferry. Dealing with AFerry ou could simply find yourself in the port unable to access the ship. And you are lucky when you traveling without children, and your have time to deviate your route. be carefull. Use direct contacts with performers not Agents.
