“wickes conned me into driving 50 miles for nothing”

I was looking for a new front and end bath panel to brighten up my bathroom and after my wife found one on wickes site she phoned to see if they had them in stock.The employee said that they had and it was agreed he would put them to the side for her as we stayed 50 miles away. when we arrived at the store later we were shown the panels.. They didn't resemble the shape of the panels we ordered earlier, the employee was really quite impudent saying I can assure you these are the panels that you asked about. This was even after he had seen them on his computer! He then went for the panel that I showed him on their site and said it was another £20.00 but still maintained I had got it wrong! Whole thing was a con. The staff were nothing less than ignorant. Don't know how they are still in business. Will never be back in their store again. Will go elsewhere. This was the Dumfries branch. JUST DON'T GO THERE!
