I am amazed by the number of positive reviews here.
From the moment we started the process with NJ, it's been nothing but hassle. They took an AGE (6 weeks) to even get back to us to arrange the first visit by their consultant. By this stage, we were ready to move onto another option - and wish we had.
The consultant came up with a good solution and, based on this, we decided to make an order (£4,000 in value). We were then left hanging for a month with no further communication, at which point we were told a surveyor would come in for the final check before installation. Alas, the surveyor then informed us that we couldn't have the piece of furniture we ordered because of the positioning of the power sockets, which needed to be accessible at all times. How something this basic wasn't noticed when the design was being put together is beyond me.
In the event, the solution he proposed was to 'lift' the whole structure, so it can clear the sockets. The fact that this no longer constituted 'bespoke furniture' and that it looked ridiculous didn't seem to matter.
Then I was told the designer would urgently get in touch to see if there are any other options available. Still waiting for someone, anyone, to get in touch.
Meanwhile, the living room looks like a bomb-site, as everything else was moved to make space for the imminent installation.
The only thing that happened promptly in the whole process was them taking our deposit - which was taken off my card before you could say 'Neville Johnson'.
In a nutshell, appalling service, slow, couldn't deliver what they promised and took my money upfront in the mean time.
The Neville Johnson difference? You bet it is.
Steer clear.
