I had a terrible experience with booking.com. My original booking was never confirmed (31st April) and so I rang up the customer service telephone number (2nd May) and spoke to a gentleman who confirmed that the booking had NOT been made and asked if I wished to complete the booking with him over the telephone, to which I replied no, I had decided to have a look at other hotels before booking, I actually ended up booking for a completely different city altogether.
Two and a half months later (17th July) £102.00 was taken from my account; I rang immediately and was told after 5 minutes of the advisor having trouble finding my details that my booking had in fact been there all along. I attempted to sort something out with her and then spoke to her line manager, they were both extremely unhelpful and were not willing to help me at all. I told the manager to listen to the call recording to prove that i was wrongly advised back in May, to which he told me they 'don't really have it'. Booking.com were completely at fault and in my opinion are useless when dealing with a customer complaint/ issue. I am still taking this further as I am now down £102.00 due to their incompetence. DO NOT book with this company, there are many others out there which are much better!
