“Local depot two counties away, yet one down the road!”

Have arrived home today with a card from Parcel Force to say they have tried to deliver an item, but it has been returned to their depot and they will try to re-deliver tomorrow. Great when I'm out working. I've tried to call to arrange to pick up from my local depot about 6 miles away in Gateshead Tyne and Wear, to be advised that the parcel is in Cleveland 30 miles away, and they'll try to deliver again tomorrow, when i'm not in, but if I want to collect it from the local office I have to pay £5.50 delivery fee. How about that for holding a gun to my head - either drive 60 mile round trip, or pay them a fee for Saturday deliver or pay them a fee to collect from my local depot. What a joke!
