My Doberman has terrible separation anxiety, he has destroyed every door frame in my house and chewed a lot of toys, cushions and shoes whilst left alone, we have had to resort to leaving him outdoors whilst we go to work (we don't do this in bad weather - we're not that cruel). He also excessively maults - I am not sure if he has some kind of skin condition, although his coat is shiny and he looks very healthy. Apart from this he is the best dog anyone could wish for - he's great with kids, cats and other dogs.
