“breakdown assistance unacceptable”

Hired a car at Toulon Airport on 13/7/12 and drove 30 km to Le Lavandou where I have an apartment .Parked car until 17/7/12 at 10am car failed to start. Rang Sixt Roadside assistance and after calls lasting up to one hour was told breakdown vehicle would attend at 12noon approx. No assistance came so further calls lasting 45 mins ,when further help promised. Eventually a breakdown truck arrived which had come from a garage 5 Minutes away from my location ,had taken 4 hours to assist me .Mechanic started car and said to follow him to the garage as he suspected battery was faulty ,and we ought to have it changed. On arrival at the garage we were told it would have to be checked by computer and this would take up to another 2 hours. So I returned to Toulon Airport to SixtCar Rental and asked to change the car ,and was given a Corsa to replace the Ford Focus .A downgrade. A whole day was wasted by the failure to assist me promptly ,and I need to know who I claim a refund from for that lost day. Sixt or Nova. ? Have hired cars in Spain ,Portugal ,and USA already this year alone but never had a single problem .I await your response before I take the matter further .
