“Lovely Lindos”

Written on: 19/07/2012 by blondediode (1 review written)

My boyfriend and I have been to Rhodes 3 time, and this was the second time to Lindos.
We love the narrow streets covered with vines and bougainvillea. There are bars and restaurants hidden the the old captains houses, with views of the Acropolis lit up at night.
St Paul's Bay is beautiful and quiet, with sun beds and a shallow drop into the sea. The cafe is a little pricey, but a welcome break in the day. Also while you sit on the beach you can watch the various weddings visiting the little chapel at the end of the bay.
Our apartments (Sun Studios)were very small, and the air conditioning wasn't very cold. There was a tiny window, and no air entered the small courtyard for the apartment blocks, so air conditioning was a must.
The block was reached by a private door in the side of an alley, (very common in Lindos). This led through to a courtyard with the beautiful pebble floors famous of the region.
We will definitely visit Lindos again, but maybe not to these apartments, but who needs a big place to stay when you're on the beach all day!
