“Great service and deal”

Having searched lots of sites for our holiday this year, I found the same package on Holiday Gems at a much better price. I had read reviews which commented that the prices are not always up to date - so, rather than ignoring the deal, I called. I spoke to Nicola Hall who was fantastic: she checked the deals and found that, as we were booking last minute, the prices were indeed different - as the airlines were altering their prices by the second.
She checked all of the options and found the best deal for us and then managed to reduce the price to the point where it matched what we were looking to pay.
This was an example of the sort of service that you rarely find these days: she was courteous and good humoured and genuinely wanted to make sure that we got the holiday we wanted. Several other agents at other sites had seemed to find the idea of helping with a booking as an annoyance - after all, isn't that what a website is for? Here, I felt that I was actually being served by someone with a genuine desire to do her job well.
We will be using Holiday Gems again.
