We were a bit wary in booking and had checked Trip Advisor, but with a 70 ratig went ahead and booked the holiday. Our apartment was in a block across the road / roundabout from the main hotel- Arcos Playa. It was basic but had most of the necessary equipment required for a self catering holiday. Had been refurbished in not too distant past but could still been rated a lot better with just a little more attention to detail. Some traffic noise to be head and shops opening in am but you can get that anywhere. Towels changed twice weekly, however bedding was not changed. Resort is quieter that next door Sa Coma (also cheaper for some things but less range of choice). Eating in or out is a bit samey, but plenty of choice. Hotel prices for foof and drink were very good. Places of mention - Fawlty Towers - best Sunday Roast, Red Lion - great food & service and right on the beach! Be Ba Bo (mmm Lamb chops) & Olympic worth a visit. Also Kenna's Irish bar in Sa Coma. Everyone was very friendly everywhere. Beware of trips - shop around and if taking the Island Tour check if boat service is on before you get on the bus - we got stung for 69 Euro x2 when could have got it for 50, and the boat (part of trip) was off due to bad weather - poor sailing for an island nation. Trip was very disappointing.
