“would never again use Goldcar”

This was a negative experience - arrived 8.30pm Faro airport Portugal,to collect car left 2hours later. Several people picking up vehicles only 2 staff. Misunderstandings about charging 900 euros on to credit cards in case of accidents, and scratches etc. not all marked on the pick up document. Even such as broken wing mirror not shown. It was dark & not easy to see cars over & staff refusing to leave the desk to check the cars with customers. Obviously customers worried about being charged for damage when returning vehicles. One customer with a small child, it was very humid, did not have a credit card & offered to pay by debit card & was refused, they were still there when we left. We paid 111 euros on line through Co-op travel, and to avoid the above we paid extra £100 euros fully comprehensive insurance. We requested a small car, intending not to travel far, and were provided with vw polo, with a full tank costing about 80euros, which was non refundable, we felt this to be a bit of a con. being as we returned with more than half a tank, for the next customer to pay for again!
I dare say that Goldcar would say the charges are all in their small print.
