IF YOU WANT TO BE A LONELY STRANDED FEMALE THEN THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR YOU!!
If you would prefer your breakdown company to tow you to your home, as they assured you they would the phone when you took the policy out then join another breakdown company.
Was left stuck miles away from home this morning at 6am as it turned out when I phoned for help that I was only covered for a 10 miles recovery, dispite 3 months ago being coverd with nationalwide recovery. Telephone operator at Green Flag basically could give damm as to my predicament that Green Flad had put me in.
I swapped an older car for a new one in July and when I rung to do this, the operator told me that I could save money be swapping to a personal cover policy. I explained that I drive up and down the country, always alone and often in the dark. I said that I had to have UK recovery which I was assued that I was getting. Stupidly trusting the women I agreed to swapping the policy. The policy paperwork does not state of the face of it that I had been reduced to a 10 mile recovery policy. If I had spotted this, then I could have ammended the policy.
The long and short of the story is that for the sake of £10 saving on my premium which was offered to me as 'being the same cover' I have now had to fork out £££'S to get myself back home when I stupidly trusted Green Flag that I had the appropriate policy.
To top it all off, I waited 75 mins for recovery and to add salt into the wound, Green Flag told the recovery company that I was on a Honda Motorbike. I was in a Honda CRV!! Therefore totally wrong recovery vehicle was sent to me and therefore had to wait even longer for the right flat bed lorry to collect me and the CRV.
My renewal is up in October so I am off else where. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. RUDE UNHELPFUL RIP OFF MERCHANTS!!
