When we arrived, our room was not even booked, let alone ready. We were placed in a cheap hotel, away from everything. We were given 5 rooms in a day in the new hotel, 4 of which were not fit for living in, and we were given them because there was no space. On The Beach were hard to get hold of. They said to complain, and I would be entitled to compensation. This was a lie. They said that it was nothing to do with them in the end, and they are only the people who book the holiday and are not responsible for anything else. Funny thing is, it happened to another couple we say the next day!!
Key Points:
1) They are not a "package holiday" operator, so you will not be covered under ATOL for this service, if it goes wrong.
2) They book your holiday ONLY - Remember this! Don't be fooled when they say they have tour operators at the Resort. They cannot do anything, as the final say will be with the hotel firm and airline. The resort rep is just a gimmick. They are only middle men, who will book the holiday and not do anything else.
3) If you are in trouble, there is no point contacting them. You are placed in a long queue which costs 50p a min, plus network extras together with the cost of the call abroad. This took me about 20 minutes to get through before I got cut off!
