“Recognition points vouchers”

I wished to purchase a dress and jacket at full price from the Windsmoor Department. I was told that my Recognition voucher for £40.00 could not be used. As I wanted the items I bought them. On returning home I telephoned 'Beatties' to ask why the voucher could not be used against a full price purchase. The person who took the call was excellent and got approval for the voucher to be used. It did cost me more petrol and car-parking fees to return to the store to have the adjustment made.
What is the point of having a Recognition Card if the vouchers cannot be used? I also had to wait whilst another member of staff came to verify the transaction and also the till wasn't working so another wait ensued.
