I purchased Adobe software for my daughter via software4Students.co.uk just before the upgrade from CS 5.5. to CS 6.0 as the offer included a free Complimentary Upgrade to CS. 6.0 as soon as it was released. Rather than sending the upgrade disc automatically, Adobe prevaricated, forcing us to contact them via 1) On-line chat 2) Telephone and 3) repeatedly filling out their tedious form on the Adobe website. Adobe quibbled on the grounds that the purchaser of the software (parent) was not the same individual as the user (student), which would obviously always be the case, when an adult is buying on behalf of a child. The treatment we received from Adobe was the worst I have ever experienced for any company selling software and the length of time and amount of energy required to get Adobe to fulfil their contractual obligations was excessive. I am quite sure that without the kind intervention of the 3rd party vendor, software4Students.co.uk to get the case resolved we would still be pleading with Adobe to resolve the issue.
