The delivery company yodel is absolutely hopeless. Missed delivery and failed to redeliver for almost 10 times over 3 weeks. The parcel is dog food for my beloved dogs. They had not been on proper diet for over 3 weeks due to constantly delayed delivery. Everytime I called them for redelivery and complaint, it took me at least 30-35 mins just to speak to someone at their call centre. Yodel didn't seem to care about their rubbish service. I think they deliberately hired the minimum number of inbound call centre staff just to keep every angery customer on the line for as long as possible and charge 10pence per minute to boost their revenue.
Google yodel and see what review you get from people. For any online business, DO NOT use yodel as they will crush your business completely!!
Let's imagine the number of furious customers just like me. 30 minutes per call times 10 pence per minute times 10 calls per angery customer times 1000 angery customers = 30,000 pounds in extra revenue!!!!
There must be hundreds of thousands of angery customers out there given their market share and poor level of service. They are almost likely to pay their call centre staff the lowest possible wage in the North (thank god they haven't outsourced it to the East yet)
What a clear game, now they have no expenses for their customer service deparment
I was really furious about the delivery and level of customer service, especially complaint management. I asked them to redeliver and leave the parcel with neighbours if no one was in my house. The delivery guy never seem to understand that bit. I asked three time to leave it with my neighbours on the whole street. (My next door is having some extension work, I know there would be people around at all time).
Again, Yodel failed to do that. No one ever called me to apologise or explain what went wrong.
Can I sue Yodel the delivery company for negligence??
I even didn't want to give the one star rating for its terrible service.
