United Airlines lost something when it merged with Continental, manners. The simple things make cramming into a scaled down seat and sitting without even moving your toes for hours on end acceptable, a smile perhaps. Instead we get rude responses and poor customer service (if any at all). I wonder if the passengers safety would come into play if there were an emergency, likely not. Shows how degraded the airline staff has become with all they are forced to manage (reduced staff and other cut backs). The most aggrevating item for me is the latest seat selection drama. Pay for a ticket then pay for an upgrade or you will be the middle seat in the last row, just put it in the price already and quit the games.
