When we went to Germany, our flight out of Moline was delayed 2 hours, which would cause us to miss the connection in Chicago to Frankfurt. So, they recommended we drive up and make our connection and we did. Meanwhile, they did not document that we did and we were recorded as a no show for the flight from Moline. So, we received a whopping 32.70 a piece for the Moline to Chicago flight. What we did not know and would not discover until we went to check in at Frankfurt and fly home was that they also cancelled our flights home (because of the no show in Moline). They admitted up front that it was their mistake, but we would have to buy one way tickets to get home on the same flight they cancelled. Originally we paid 1409.00 for the roundtrip tickets a piece. Today we had to pay 7894.96 for both tickets to get home. Then...it gets worse!!! Checked my credit card statement and they have now double charged me. I was charged $7894.96 from Continental for those tickets, and THEN got two seperate charges on my card from United for $3947.48. Also, foreign transaction fees from all those purchases totaling $473.68....bringing the grand total on my card to $16236.60! Unacceptable! We did not recieve one upgrade...and nobody is "authorized" to give us a refund of that amount!
