The Singapore trip planned by Cox & kings turned out to be a total nightmare for us.
First of all we were given the Itinerary & the passport & visa few hours prior to our travel
We arrive in the morning at 7:30 am in Singapore who has been greeted by a rude driver & the he presents us with a totally different itinerary than what was given to us in Bangalore.
When we ask him why this has been changed in the last minute he informs us that this is what he was asked to do & We can contact the travel agent in bangalore .
As per the new itinerary given in Singapore the first day had a tour of Sentosa .We hardly had 2 hours of sleep since we arrived the same morning & then we had to skip lunch since we had to be there at Sentosa at 1.30 pm..
We were given the tickets for the cable car & vouchers for the other shows at the entrance of the harbour front & was asked to find our own way inside & the driver will meet us in night after we finish everything.
Dolphin show got over by 4.30 pm & the next schedule of Songs of the sea was at 8.45 pm. Since we hardly had any sleep & we were extremely tired it was impossible to stay there for 4 more hours to see the next show.When we asked the driver if we can change the schedule...he argued with us that we have to go through his schedule only.
They could have accommodated us in the first show instead of the second. Because of the bad organizing we had to miss Songs of the sea which was the highlight of Sentosa.
Again the next day a different driver with no city guide arrives at 10:00 am instead of 8:30 am. Even though it was a city tour, The driver hardly explains to us the special attractions in the city or volunteers any information on the places he took us.We had to miss the Gem factory tour because of the delay in the drivers arrival.When we question him about this, he told us to contact the travel agent since he is just a driver.
Evening we had night Safari for which we were just given vouchers & dropped just in time for the Show there & we had to find our way to the show & there they inform us that we need tickets to enter.
Then contacted the guy at the reception who gave us just 3 tickets & told us that it covers for 3 adults n 2 children.We were let inside here with just 3 tickets.
They asked us to use the same tickets for Jurong park as well. But at the entrance we were stopped saying that only 3 people can enter.We had to reach the agent but she didn’t answer the call, Then we called this Singapore Assistance number # 63342225 but no response so we called our driver who was extremely rude to us & he didn’t even understand a word we talked.We missed the Bird show which was the steal show of Singapore Tour.
Most of the places we were almost in tears with the treatment given to us. we went through a lot of mental Agony & harassment by the agent there.We had to run around for everything without any help from the Travel guide.Since we were just Women & children travelling we found it even more difficult & regretted from day one as to why we took this trip.IT was a total nightmare which haunts me even today.
IF we had to pick up tickets standing in long queues & find our own way we didn’t have to pay Cox & Kings 25000 for organizing this horrible trip !!!!!!!!!!!!
We would have done much better jobs ourselves.
We wasted lot of money on the phone calls by calling the travel agent in Bangalore & Mumbai, which was of no use.
After coming back i wrote a long mail to them explaining my plight after which they called twice & informed that they will talk to the supplier & revert but till now i haven’t got any updates from them.
We booked Cox & Kings thinking its a branded company but didn’t expect this kind of pathetic service from them. i would never recommend this company to anyone ever as they promise something which they dont.
