“Woken at 5:46am”

After placing my grocery order on line yesterday evening, on paying, I added my security code etc., and waited for the automated, check with bank etc., before the order was confirmed, incl via e-mail. So this morning (Jubilee bank holiday), I'm abruptly woken by the phone ringing. Now at 5:46am, this to me must be an emergency within my family. Shaking I grab the phone and try to remain calm and quiet so as not to wake the rest of the house up. It was an automted call and I only heard the word Asda, press 1 or 9 etc. I hung up assuming I'd got yet another hoax call. I sit back on the bed and start shaking and wondered what that was all about. I try to get back to sleep but 15 mins later the phone rings again. Now I'm mad. I answer it to hear a lady telling me my Asda payment hadn't gone through and I had until 6:45 to call them back and pay else my order would be cancelled. I complained about the crazy time of the day but she wasn't bothered. I dragged myself downstairs to call them back and pay, and told the guy on the phone that if my old card details were still stored on their system, they should remove it, or at least (like amazon), mark it as an unusable card. Why did it go through only for me to be told it was an old card?. I could've sorted this out last night. I was told that the 5:46 call is automated and stops my order being cancelled. Trust me, they won't need to call me again. Bank holiday, and I'm up, shaking, migraine brewing at 5:45am? My orders not due until 9-11am, surely 8am would've done, or better still 8pm last night. Plus if the fruit and veg etc., is as dire as it was last week, I'll still end up throwing most of it away again and heading to Tesco!. Oh and check any substitues you get offered as I last week ordered some jam and was substitued by some Treet Strawberry ice cream dessert sauce!.
