“AVOID Reed in Newport and Cardiff”

Reed agency in Newport are the most unfriendly, unprofessional recruitment agency I have ever come across. They just don’t care and do not know how to do their job properly. In fact you may wonder if there is even a supervisor or a team leader there at times. After travelling there form quite far away I was left waiting for almost and hour before someone came and saw me and they really could not be bothered. The staff was more concerned with googling and shopping over the phone whilst clients were waiting (I could hear them ordering items over he phone and discussing fashion on line wit their colleagues)! Total and utter disgrace. This was after telling me to come in as my CV looks fantastic! When they later called me up they had a go at me! Telling me I didn’t seem very keen on the job, because they hadn't manage to get the reference properly! They are really quite unprofessional. The Cardiff office is not better. When I went there they said something in the line of “ so and so says he has got an appointment with you” …as I was making the appointment up. I would not recommend Reed to anyone. Generally recruitment agencies are not that great but Reed is exceptionally bad and I think any other contact I have had with recruitment agencies have always been smooth without any problems. I would avoid Reed.
