“Two deliverys and still missing bits, anyone seen my...”

Ordered a new Diamondback Peak HD, this took a week to arrive as described on their website (some companies can turn this around in 48hrs...) so, decided my bike must be getting a good going over before delivery. Their website does say
'All full size cycles are fully built and assembled for inspection before being disassembled and placed in a cycle box'.
So, a week after ordering, bike arrived in cycle box, without a saddle, seat post pin, pedals, quick release pin for front wheel, reflectors, assembly instructions. Several emails to JE James and was then called to say 'these must have fallen out during delivery' - the cycle box was perfectly sealed and not damaged so I am not too sure about this theory...
Next day extra bits arrived, still no seat pin, now had the bike four days and still waiting to use it. Was this bike ever built and inspected? I doubt it very much, there are certain give aways, when the bike is fully assembled, ie, handlebars, pedals, the paint work will naturally mark a small amount, no marks on mine... If fitting a saddle why would you take the seat post pin out completely to get it in the box, it doesn't need to come out, was it ever there in the first place? I have my doubts. Would I ever buy from again or recommend? no chance. Now off to my local bike shop to get things put right, where I should have gone in the first place. Avoid like the plague!!!
