I bought a mobile phone. I was pleased to see that Play.com were now offering an express delivery (usually although postage is free, you never could tell when it would arrive) as I was ordering for a birthday.
Next to the phone selected, it said "express delivery available for this item" at £4.99. I also saw a small toy for my son at £3.99, so I added it to the basket and chose express delivery for the ORDER.
When the email confirmation came through, it said that the £3.99 toy was being delivered express (at a cost of £4.99), but the mobile phone for over £200 was coming by standard delivery.
I called their customer service, but they said express delivery wasn't available for the phone!!! even worse, I couldn't cancel it as it was already processing (10 minutes later).
I also asked for my express delivery charge to be refunded, but they refused and told me to "check more carefully" at the order confirmation next time.
There won't be a next time - it's Amazon from now on.
