When negotiating a renewal price, the information they provide on the phone is classed as limited disclosure. That means, basically, that they will tell you anything to get your business. If you actually click on their links & read the small print you may find that what you think you've agreed isnt actually included in the policy. For me, as a lone female travelling long distances with work, it was crucial to have good breakdown cover. I mentioned this in several phone calls and was assured that the breakdown cover provided was adequate for my requirements. However I then received an email stating that breakdown was within a 10 mile radius only. After that a charge of £3 per mile would be incurred. Not much good for me when I frequently travel distances of 100 miles (meaning that I could be liable to charges of £300!) Pretty expensive Recovery! They also did the same with my legal cover - not being honest about what was included in the policy.
I also had to call them virtually every day to try and get these matters resolved because they are good at making mistakes and not resolving them properly.
I am so annoyed because I had a similar priced quote from another insurer which included everything I needed. Wish I'd passed over One Call and gone elsewhere. Definitely won't be renewing next year.
