“MOST HONEST REVIEW- esp for pple who have assesment soon”

Written on: 25/05/2012

I recently went to a London Assessment Day after passing a telephone interview. The person over the phone was extremely helpful and call you everyday which apparently some people have found annoying but its good to know they pay that much attention.

I am not giving bad opinion of this company in fact the company is the opposite of most of the reviews on here. It is genuine and they do care and they are a good agency. My review is just to give people a jist of what to expect as i wish there was a PROPER review for me to read prior to the day instead of just unsuccessful people bad mouthing a company for being bitter. TRUST ME I am fair, there are people who come from Glasgow and all over the place and after not being chosen some might be bitter so some negative comments i guess are justified. If you're expecting just Londoners then NO everyone else is deciding to migrate and rinse the already overpopulated and economic hit city of London. TOUGH TIMES and competition is fierce and not local anymore but geographically spread.

Next....Well the day itself, you go inside and there will definitely be more people there than you were told or expected so you know its going to be dog eat dog day. like i said TOUGH TIMES

Now maybe it was the intake on my day but was the very few ethnic minorities in the building for a multicultural city (everyone was white) and before everyone gets excited, THIS IS NOT MAIN REASON FOR being unsuccessful so just chill .Like i said the company is great. I was unsuccessful as this kind of thing as it was a first for me so hopefully this review will prepare other readers.

Anyways, now im not being PC or stupid but if you white folk were to walk in a room full of black guys you will feel a bit out of place and also when all the white kids talk to each other and kind of disregard you its not a good motivator to start the process. Not only me every single one of the maybe 5 ethnics there. And I am not a racist i didn't even talk to the ethnics either just because i am ethnic... SERIOUSLY I AM not like that.

So the day starts with everyone being asked to stand up in alphabetical order and say their name, star sign and biggest achievement so far. Now call me a skeptic but how do 45/50 people say they’ve helped kids in Africa, Asia, build shelters, raise hundreds of thousand of pounds for charity? NO so ADVICE TIP 1- LIE ABOUT DOING SOME CHARITY-- I don’t personally believe in blagging about charity, even if you do charitable acts you shouldn’t tell anyone or use it as a merit so calling it an achievement is bad but sick when the whole room by chance lies about it but hey you gotta do what you gotta do.

Next as there are so many people (with additional issue of race minority for all you ethnics) its kind of hard to get your voice heard in an exercise which you would expect to do at primary school ( you've landed on a moon, rate the following items in terms of importance, yes that was the task) especially if there is one person who will be that (B word) (yes a lot of women i found were just over aggressive and complete stuck up and pretentious that day but then again hey it might just be my intake) and completely disregard everyone else in the already overpopulated team. In my team there was one girl who was simply a (excuse my french B word) and i hope she reads this as she was older than all the candidates but was acting like the CEO of the company. THEREFORE :

ADVICE TIP 2- AS i said when i walked in, i knew it was going to be dog eat dog day and its expected when everyone is a graduate with a degree. Competition is therefore fierce and go in there not to make friends but to eat everyone alive. Be bossy, loud and stuck up it will do the trick.

Now once again i am saying as I'm not going to reply to internet trolls who have nothing better to do than start fights online. I am simply giving my honest account of the day. I am not racist or a fraud or neither do i work for Pareto as most people have been accused of. Once again please apply with them they are a great company but beware for yourself of what can go right and wrong on the day.

End of the day when people who are successful are chosen i found not one single ethnic person was chosen. I knew i didn't perform to my maximum and messed it up due to my own faults but there was one black kid who ticked all of the boxes and were better than some of the chosen ones but still didn't make it.

One thing which will agree with a lot of reviews is that there was one girl who was really friendly but was really hot and dressed like she was going clubbing. Blonde and really air heady but really a nice girl which was like finding a needle in a haystack on the day in terms of nice women. She was however chosen simply on her looks which I have to give to Pareto as there is some consistency or pattern one can see, they have some super HOT and stunning looking staff I mean some of them are just amazing and I would work for Pareto for free if such women are going to be my co workers.

Regardless, MY advice is prepare, don't focus on real achievements like starting your own business but go there to be funny, bossy, the kind of people you see on apprentice who are the annoying characters in life to most people but kind of stand out for those very same characteristics. BE like that lie about charitable events, crack jokes which are plain silly as they work, be quirky and act flirty even if you're a guy as i said REMEMBER times are hard competition is already fierce
