I have now been with Virgin Media signed up to a 60mb package for over a month and have had nothing but problems from them.
For the initial sign up I was messed around in regard to installation dates and outright lied to by the sales person I booked the service with which resulted in a very long wait for installation to begin.
This was on top of an obsessive phone sales team who actually started calling me 4 times a day at one stage of the process.
After the service was eventually installed I immediately started suffering from a very slow downstream rate (relative to the 60mb I am paying for). Speeds would vary from 20mb/s to as low as 1mb/s. I have now raised this issue with them multiple time and have only been told that it is due to high local demand.
So in other words Virgin are selling a product they do not have and I for one am not desperately trying to get out of the contract (that hasn't even been signed yet).
