My partner and myself decided to open a joint account after spending 2hours with an advisor we went for the 1,2,3 account, we were advised that the account was open and received our debit cards.However after receiving our cards a week later I was sent a letter asking for more details eg bank wage slips , bank statements within 10days or they would close the account(very strange) I had to take these details.after going through all the hassle I took details to the bank, however was advised after taking them into branch they didn't need these details. A few days later I went to use my card and was advised account had been closed, after being mucked around by Santander I decided to leave the bank and go back to my original bank , the bank of scotland who I have had no issues with for 10years.i would NOT recommend Santander at all. I think if they spend more time on there service it would improve !however STAY AWAY !!!!!!
