The model I required, a Minichamps model of a German 1958 model Bussing double-deck bus in 1:160 (N) scale, was not shown on the Minimodel shop website however when I enquired I was told it was not yet available, but would be available in May (about 2 months away.
E-mails were answered promptly and efficiently and so I placed a pre-order for 2 buses and sat back to wait.
Come early May I received an e-mail to say that the items were now in stock and so I visited the website and placed the order. Two days later the buses arrived, securely packaged and in good condition.
In comparison with other manufacturers who make promises to produce models, showing them in their catalogues, but never deliver to have this model appear exactly when I was told it would was a refreshing change.
The price for these models is not cheap when compared to the likes of Corgi models but in comparison with other European 1:160 scale models which are usually just plastic this is very favourable and given its rarity, worth every penny. (I've waited a long time for this model in 1:160 scale).
The model is well presented and beautifully finished and I am very pleased with it and it now takes pride of place on my German railway layout.
The contact and service from Minimodel shop has been excellent throughout and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
