Not to go into too much detail, as reliving the Barclays experience is way too painful. In a nutshell Barclays seem to get the simplest tasks completely wrong! They sent me out 4...yes 4 cheque books and paying in books in the wrong company name! to get it wrong once ok, fair enough human error, but 4 times is just pathetic. To add insult to injury they then decided to do the same for the debit card!
When applying for the account I had to go back into branch twice as they lost 2x mandates.
And then there barclaycard payment machines which is just another story altogether!! They hound you for the business for months on end. Eventually I caved in as I needed a card payment machine, 2 months later....guess what? I still don't have it!!
If you like wasting your time chasing useless operators from a million different departments, doing things twice and your hobbies include banging your head up a very pointless brick wall, then Barclays are definately the bank for you!
