“Rip off!!!! DO NOT TOUCH!”

written by on 12/05/2012

My Dad was dying of lung cancer and my Mum thought as he was finding it more "very nice" man from Quinco came over and basically frightened my Mum into paying £2700 for a scooter that he promised cold not tip over. Rubbish obviously as anything will tip over if at the right angle/speed etc.

Now very ill my Dad used it to go out on to a local restaurant for a family meal. Poorly made and designed as it was my Dad cut his leg on a sharp part of the scooter so badly he had to seek medical treatment. When Mum phoned Quingo now having taken her for a ride were uninterested. They did send a man around who succeeded in making it even more of a hazard. My Mums 65 y/o brother fixed it for her in the end.

After 2 trips on the scooter my Dad went into a hospice where he dies a few weeks later. My Mum took the brochures into a local shop who sell used scooters and he refused to buy it as they were known to be poorly made and very very overpriced. Mum tried several other places and they all said the same DON'T TOUCH!

They are 2000+ overpriced, they tell you lies to make you buy one and you can get a better one for half of the price or less!

Make sure if you have an elderly relative about to buy a scooter you make sure they are not ripped off by Quingo.
