Used Monarch for the first time over the long weekend in May 2012 and will use them again without hesitation.

After reading some of the reviews before the flight I was expecting the worst. But, too my amazement all was just fine.

On the flight out from Gatwick to Faro, the seat was indeed very small (which I read about earlier) but I did notice at the airport you could "upgrade" to a bigger seat if you wanted to - again, you get what you pay for - else fly with a non-budget airline?!!? The staff were good, efficient and friendly and the flight was on time.

On the flight back from Faro, different plane layout and the seat size was fine (not small) - again the flight was on time and the staff were good, efficient and friendly.

If you get a good price to fly with Monarch, then GO FOR IT!!!!
