I have been signed up to Brand Alley for over a year and have enjoyed the lure of bargain products with only a month or so to wait for them to arrive. I know how the discount works, I know the goods take time to arrive, but at the beginning of October last year I bought a bundle of items to arrive in time for my birthday at the end of november. My birthday came and went, and 8 weeks later I finally wrote to them. They kept my money all this time and never bothered to tell me the supplier let them down. I never received my goods, they cancelled the order and refunded my money 9 weeks later. However, they assured me it was a one off due to their supplier.
Put out, but not put off, I finally decided to give them a second chance when I saw some products my sister would love for her birthday - and they were on 'available now'. With her birthday 4 weeks away I didn't have anything to lose for those gifts. Turns out I shouldn't have bothered. I ordered, had an email advising that my items would be shipped in 5 working days. Her birthday came and went, still no sign. After one month I emailed them to complain about their lack of communication. They have since cancelled part of my order. I replied imediately to cancel the whole lot. I'm not interested in them providing a useless service in exchange for my hard earned. They have since emailed me to tell me I can't cancel the whole order as it is now ready for delivery. What sort of messed up idea is that?? If you choose to order from this company be warned that they take your money immediately, get the interest paid in their bank, then refund it to you over a month later. That is not a good service and the lack of communication just serves to aggrivate me more. A simple update when the products were not dispatched on the date they should have been would have sufficed. Needless to say, I've had it with this company and I won't be shopping here again. Nor will I be recommending it to my friends. I'd rather pay full price for an item and have it in my hand than put up with this rubbish. Incidentally, I shop online for the majority of my products and have only experienced such hopeless service with one other company for whom I will also write a review.
