“Childcare Project in Fiji- An Experience of a Lifetime!”

I applied to the Fiji Childcare Program for one month, but that wasn't enough for me! GVI had such an amazing program set up, I've decided that I'd like to make volunteering through them a bigger part of my life. The base camp was obviously basic for living conditions, but the volunteers and staff quickly became like family and the base was soon a home. The locals were so thankful for our help and treated us each like family. I'd recommend anyone living in comfortable and cushioned conditions to venture outside of it and see how satisfying life can be if you give some time and compassion to a community in need. Life on the island was an adventure in paradise every day, just remember to pack a mosquito net and bug spray!
