Lufthansa sucks big time. The in flight crew is very patronizing, and treats South Asian passengers with disdain. This is also evident at the Frankfurt airport,where all employees with the airline or staff think they are doing you a favor by answering a question. The only reason I flew this airline was that it offered a direct option to Chennai, without any other stops.



The in flight crew expects you to stay in your seat, and any special request is seen as an inconvenience. This is not the first time I have used Lufthansa. I thought my previous experience was an exception, but, alas, no. I recently heard that they are also changing baggage allowances to India, and are likely to charge for a second checked in baggage. This is total BS. Why make an exception to only charge people flying in and out of India.



Previously, I used to fly the Pacific Route - Denver to LA - Singapore- Chennai. I thought that Lufthansa service would be better than Singapore Airlines, but now I am willing to undergo Singapore Airlines' treatment rather than Lufthansa treatment.



I am advising my rather large network of friends an colleagues to choose other alternatives to travel between USA and India.
