When searching for flights you are given the option to opt-in on being flexible on dates. I wasn't so I didn't put a tick in the 'flexible on dates' box. I'm then taken to the next screen where I am give a choice of flight times. Like a moth to a flame I am drawn to the big orange "CHEAPEST FLIGHT!" without noticing that these are not actually on the dates I have selected. The booking is processed and only at the end when I look at my boarding passes do I see that the dates don't match the ones I had originally selected. I immediately phoned the customer service line and could only cancel by incurring a cancellation fee almost matching that of the original flights. Yes, I should have been more vigilant and aware that Easyjet is a seedy rip-off company. Lesson learned.
