I have visited my local Cineworld several times but after my experience last night (Orange Wednesday) I will never go again!!Stuff em!! Will visit Vue next time. Staff training is non-existent, the management is rude and customer service is a completely alien term and there is no evidence of it in the slightest. The queues were horrendous, by the time you've paid for your ticket and got some drink and eats you can safely assume that your film will be half over. They've got this rule that you can't take in your own refreshments and then staff who have two speeds at service, dead slow and stop, it really is like they couldn't give a care. Obviously taking their time to chat, while they take all day about it. It's completely evident that they care nothing for their customers and are only there to make money from the minute you walk in the door. I asked to see the manager who comes out she looks like she just left college, read some books on management and customer service, stuck a badge on her lapel stating manager and thinks she knows everything when it's obvious she knows absolutely nothing. totally biased towards the staff, not interested in putting the customer first (which is the golden rule of customer service, I work with the public and can say with much conviction that she knows not a thing about customer service. It was obvious that if this is the management it's no wonder the staff are so useless. It was obvious from the managers attitude that the staff are always right and the customer always wrong!!!she even asked me at one point if I wanted to have a refund. She rather usher me out the door than deal with my complaint, the truth being she did not know how to deal with the complaint. Another golden rule of customer service, if you have an irate customer it's a pretty safe bet that somewhere along the line your customer service ain't delivering, and as a manager it should be your job to sort it out. Well that's if you care anyway.....after all your cusomters are paying your wage, insofar as if you had no customers you wouldn't have a job. Manager?? she could n't manage herself!!! completely abysmal.
